Isabel Lea Co-founder of the creative studio ATYPICAL, Isabel works at the intersection of typography, design, and art direction.For her residency project, she’s exploring how typography-led design and art direction can be used to visualise language and culture in a playful way. She develops experimental typefaces and designs that visualize specific ideas, words, and characteristics that sometimes feel untranslatable or unexplainable. Underpinned by social research, her work aims to celebrate language and identity in an unconventional way.
