The Emerging Scenarios of Cyber Threats and Hacking: A Hands-On View + Virtual Career Fair

Cybersecurity is the emerging challenge for societies, organisations and individuals. The emerging threats by way of hacking, ransomware, and phishing and may similar mechanisms post a new set of threat in the new world order. Hacking, in particular, is an attempt to exploit a computer system or a private network inside a computer. Simply put, it is the unauthorized access to or control over computer network security systems for some illicit purpose. In this session we will give the attendees a first-hand view of case studies and some hands on demos to help understand the nuts and bolts of an attack. At the end of this session, the attendees will be able to understand one or two DIY experiments in this area. Directly after this session, we will be holding a virtual career fair.
